My partner Victoria, is of Italian heritage and came to me to create a poster of her favorite ingredient of all time — vine ripened tomatoes. I took artistic inspiration from classic mom-n-pop grocery store hand lettering and illustration techniques. I wanted the tomatoes to have lots of detail to show off how plump and delicious they are, especially when used in a fresh summer red sauce!
