I am a fan and season ticket holder for my local semi-pro soccer teams Ballard FC and Salmon Bay FC in Seattle, WA. These are brother and sister clubs for local Division 1 college athletes to play throughout the summer to continue their development.

This year is the inaugural season of Salmon Bay FC, so to celebrate, the club decided to have fans design a two-sided scarf. As a soccer fanatic and designer I had to participate. My idea for the concept was to keep it simple and make it legible when held aloft by fellow fans at matches. I took inspiration from vintage English Premier League scarves as well as the local neighborhood’s fishing and Nordic roots.
