I saw Charley Crockett perform at Chateau Ste. Michelle’s outdoor summer concert series. My inspiration for this poster comes from his song Hard Times which explores themes of life’s unfairness and compares society to a shady casino where the dice are loaded in favor of the house. The composition includes a craps table, where Charley is rolling the dice, and a red curtain alluding to his stage presence and the idea that casinos have a lot going on behind the scenes. The dice include a nod to the original song, turning the title into the name of the casino.
